Students of St Joseph’s School, Sector 44-D, participated in the 47th state-level science, mathematics and environmental exhibition for children. The Josephians bagged top positions in three categories.

Kids ‘R’ Kids, Chandigarh

Kids ‘R’ Kids School organised an educational trip to Fire Station in Sector 17. This was to educate students about how to respond in calamities. They also watched how fire fighters use their trucks in emergency. Students saw equipment used by them and they were told about the use of fire extinguisher. Children and staff were taught to stop, drop and roll in the event of a fire, as well as other fire safety and prevention techniques.

Blue Bird, Panchkula

To mark Armed Forces Flag Day, students of Blue Bird High School, Panchkula, were made aware about the importance of celebrating the day in respective classes. Students and staff members put up badges on their blazers and saluted the armed forces. The little ones attired in Army uniform were pleased while getting their photographs clicked.

Stepping Stones 

To educate students about emergency situations such as fire or any other natural calamity, Stepping Stones School organised a guest lecture on disaster management by Sanjeev Kohli, Nodal Officer, Disaster Management, Chandigarh. He talked about various kinds of disasters and how to manage them. Students were trained on how they should act in case of disasters such as fire, drowning, earthquake, floods, terrorist attack, Tsunamis and  landslides. Anu Kumar, Principal, said the school had been focusing on initiatives such as road safety, personal safety, and cyber safety. 

Aanchal International, Chandigarh  

Aanchal International School organised a baby show pomp and show. Around 250-300 babies from the tricity participated in the event. Children dressed up in their best made the event lively.

Moti Ram Model, Chandigarh

The annual function of Moti Ram Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A, was celebrated in the school auditorium with enthusiasm and fervour. The theme of this cultural extravaganza was ‘Parivartan- The Law of Life’. The chief guest for the function was Prof Dheeraj Sanghi, Director, Punjab Engineering College, and the guest of honour was Nazuk Kumar, SDM Central, Chandigarh. As many as 500 students participated in the event. The welcome song by toddlers and ‘Ganesh Vandana’ by seniors was commendable. Before the prize distribution, Principal Seema Biji read the annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school. A vote of thanks was presented by Director Rachna Mahajan. The function left an indelible impression on parents and others.
