Sukhjeet, Shivam help academy log win in cricket

Sukhjeet came up with a timely 82, while Shivam Joshi posted a quickfire 72 as the Elite Pathway Academy (EPA) recorded a five-wicket win over Sunrise Cricket Academy during the ongoing GS Banga Memorial Cricket Tournament being held at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36.

Chasing 195, the EPA side lost quick wickets — Gurinder Singh (4), Sachman Singh Issar (0) and Adhiraaj Kurl (11). However, Sukhjeet and Joshi came to the rescue of the side by raising a 132-run partnership to help the side achieve a stunning win. Mohammed Ateeb claimed two wickets for the bowling side.

Earlier, batting first, Sunrise Academy batters posted 194/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Kashyap posted 52, while Rithwik Sood (32), Jitendra Pun (20) were the other main scorers. Kaushik, Hitnash and Tanveer claimed two wickets each for the bowling side.
