Team No. 93 defeated Team No. 159 in a dramatic Super Over to win the fourth edition of the Gully Cricket Tournament at the Sector 16 cricket stadium.

After winning the toss, Team No. 93 opted to bat first and were restricted to 58/8 in their allotted 10 overs. Karan Rajput was the top scorer at 21, while Riyan Himanshu scored an unbeaten 12 off six deliveries. For Team No. 159, Pawan (3/9) was the standout bowler while Lucky chipped in two wickets.

In reply, Team No. 159 faced similar resistance from the opponents. Mansa Ram anchored the innings with a patient 17 off 27 balls, while Vishu injected life into the chase with a quickfire 14 off six balls, including two sixes. However, tight bowling in the death overs ensured that Team No. 159 was restricted to 58/6, which resulted in a tie, forcing the match into the Super Over.

In the Super Over, Team No. 159 batted first and scored 5/2 against the spell from Keshav Rishan. Chasing six runs for victory, Keshav Rishan of Team No. 93 guided the team to 6/0 in just 3 balls, sealing a memorable win.

In the girls section, Team No. 32 delivered a commanding performance to defeat Team No. 1 by nine wickets at the same venue. Opting to field after winning the toss, Team No. 32 restricted Team No. 1 to 66/9 in 10 overs. Jaspreet scored an unbeaten 18 while Shallu Saroj contributed 13 runs. Sita, Pinki and Sandhya picked up two wickets each.

Chasing a modest target, Team No. 32, skipper Sita played a composed and match-winning unbeaten knock of 32. Vandana added 12 runs as the team reached 67/1 in just 7.4 overs.

The tournament was organised by the UT Cricket Association in collaboration with the Chandigarh Police.

Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria along with guest of honour Saudan Singh will felicitate the winning teams at Lok Bhawan on Saturday in the presence of tournament chairman Sanjay Tandon and UT DGP Dr Sagar Preet Hooda.
