Team No. 159, Team No. 93 to clash for gully cricket title in Chandigarh today
Team No. 159 will take on Team No. 93 in the final of the Gully Cricket Tournament at the Sector 16 cricket stadium on Friday.
In a nail-biting semifinal, Team No. 159 defeated Team No. 212 by just three runs. Batting first, Team 159 posted 98/5 with the help of 31-ball 52 runs innings by Mansa Ram. His innings included seven sixes, while Deepak added 26 to the total. In reply, Team 212 suffered early setbacks with 34/5 on the board but stayed in the hunt through fighting knocks from Abhishek Kumar (23) and Kushal Singh (12). Ritik, Lucky and Mansa Ram claimed wickets to restrict the batting side to 95/8.
In the other semifinal, Team No. 93 outclassed Team No. 8 by 91 runs. Riding on Karan Rajput’s explosive 53 off 22 balls, studded with seven sixes, and valuable contributions by Himanshu (23 off 8 balls), Team 93 amassed 134/8.
In reply, Team No. 8 crumbled under pressure as Himanshu claimed three wickets, while Vineet, Karan and Riyan bagged two each.
