Chandigarh: Sunrise Tennis Academy will organise an Open Tennis Tournament Prize Money Tournament at the Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, from December 8 to 9, here. The championship will be played in U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-16 categories. The interested players can submit their entries at the venue before December 7. 

Hansraj boys log easy win

Panchkula: In the ongoing U-14 Inter-School Satluj Premier League Cricket Tournament, Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, defeated Eicher School, Parwanoo by six wickets. Batting first, Eicher School posted 79 runs before getting all-out in 29.2 overs with the help of Chetan (25), and Aayush (18). Yash, Bhavya and Denag claimed two wickets each for the bowling side. In reply, Hansraj boys posted 80/4 in 17.3 overs. Devang (41) and Raghav (18) scored unbeaten contributions. Deepak and Hardik claimed two wickets each for the bowling side. 

Dodgeball trials on Dec 5 

Chandigarh: Dodgeball Association of Chandigarh will conduct trials to select local teams at CRB Public School, Sector 7, on December 5 at 3pm. The selected team will participate in the 14th Senior National Dodgeball Championship, at Bemetara (Chhattisgarh) from January 2 to 4. A player should be either resident/working/studying here. 

RTS Open tennis from Dec 8

Chandigarh: Roots Tennis Academy will conduct an Open Tennis Championship from December 8 to 9, at Northridge International School, Sector 46. The championship will be played in U-10 (for players born on or after January 1, 2008) and U-12 (for players born on or after January 1, 2006) categories in both boys and girls events. The players can register at the tournament venue before December 2.

Probable squad announced  

Chandigarh: Amateur Karate Association of Chandigarh selected a probable squad to prepare for the upcoming 8th National Karate Championship to be held at Hoshiarpur on December 23. Probable: Akansha, Shiwani, Jyoti, Nisha,  Ayush, Ricky, Mrittunjain, Sandeep, Sahib, Risheet, Ansdeep, Pankaj, Shreyanshi, Raheana, Sherya, Garima, Ashmita Thakur, Sahil, Amar, Rohit Rana, Manisha, Gaurav, Pulkit Moses, Abhi Neil, Vinayak, Aakash. The final squad will be selected after a brief coaching camp.
