Chandigarh: The Roots Tennis Academy will organise the Roots-AITA Champion Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament from June 15.



Chandigarh: The Roots Tennis Academy will organise the Roots-AITA Champion Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament from June 15. The tournament will be held in U-16 and U-18 age-groups in both boys’ and girls’ categories, the organisers said here on Thursday. The qualifying matches will be played on June 15 and 16, while the main draw fixtures will begin from June 17. The interested players need to register for the tournament between 12 pm and 2 pm on Friday. TNS

City boys face Mohali today

Chandigarh: Chandigarh will face Mohali in a third-round match of the DP Azad Trophy at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium here on Friday. The city boys beat Bathinda on Tuesday and will be keen to maintain their unbeaten run in the tournament against Mohali. Patiala, meanwhile, will host Bathinda at Dhruv Pandove Stadium and Ropar will travel for Ludhiana. Amritsar will take on Jalandhar at home, the Punjab Cricket Association said here on Thursday. TNS

Tennis C’ship from tomorrow

Chandigarh: Lawrebs Tennis Academy will organise the Lawrebs Open Tournament here from June 15. The championship will be held in U-10, U-12 and U-14 age-groups, the organisers said here on Thursday. The interested players can register for the tournament till 5.30 pm on June 14, they said, adding that all the players will get the participation certificates. The championship will be conducted in both the girls’ and boys’ categories. TNS
