The 7th NTPC Para Archers National Championship 2026 kicks off

The 7th NTPC Para Archers National Championship 2026 is underway at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NIS), Patiala. The national-level event was formally inaugurated by Patiala Mayor Kundan Gogiya. Renowned national-level coaches and leading para archers, including coach Abhilasha Chaudhary and Arjuna Awardee Sheetal Devi, are taking part in the event.

The championship is being hosted by the Punjab association under the aegis of the Archery Association of India, with support from the Sports Authority of India. The competition will run from January 30 to February 3.

Punjab Archery Association president Ravindra Kumar and secretary Navjot Singh, along with other office-bearers, honoured Gogiya and several distinguished figures from the sport, including Dronacharya Awardee Jeevanjot Singh Teja, national champion Vishal Kumar, coach Surinder Randhawa, national awardee Ashok Verma, writer Rajeshwar Kumar, Prince Kumar, director Ashok Roni and Sanjeev Kumar.
