The Gurukul, Panchkula

The Haryana Kala Parishad, in association with Multi Art Cultural Centre, Ambala Mandal, Kurukshetra, organised a 10-day workshop on Haryana folks songs at The Gurukul, Panchkula. Nagendra, Regional Director, Multi Art Cultural Centre, was the chief guest on the occasion. The students would perform in Kurukshetra on August 30 in a state- level competition.

Manav Rachna International, Mohali

Students of  Manav Rachna International School, Mohali spread awareness about the Swach Bharat Mission at Government Primary School, Papri village. The Medical Officer of MRIS, Mohali delivered a session on ‘Personal Hygiene’. The students installed Blue and Green Dustbins for dry waste and for wet waste respectively and also acquainted children on how to use them. Students of MRIS Mohali and Government Primary School, Papri Village took an oath to keep India ‘Clean’ and ‘Green’. 

Shemrock Senior Secondary, Mohali

Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali, organised “Techno Minds” for students of Class VIII to X. Around  19  schools from tricity participated in the event . Students participated in poster-making competition in which Sourav of Shivalik Publick School, Mohali, ranked first whereas Anshika of St Joseph School, Chandigarh, stood second. In Powerpoint presentation on “Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons”, Lizza of Shivalik Public School stood first and Bhoomika of Shishu Niketan School ranked second.

Kids ‘R’ Kids, Chandigarh

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Chandigarh, organised a hands-on training on basic life support, including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for students and staff. Instructors from the Indian Academy of Pediatrics explained the procedure of the CPR.
