Ambala, October 18

A person, who was arrested in connection with a theft, managed to flee from the Ambala Sadar police station on Sunday. The suspect has been identified as Gurjit Singh, a resident of Sullar village.

As per a complaint given by Head Constable Ajit Pal, who is an investigating officer at the Ambala Sadar police station, Gurjit was held in connection with a theft case. He, however, managed to escape after breaking the window glass of the investigation room and jumping over the rear wall of the police station. Efforts were made to trace Gurjit, but to no avail.

A case under Section 224 of the IPC has been registered against the suspect at the Ambala City police station.
