The Municipal Corporation (MC) has invited bids for booking of nearly 30 stalls to be set up for the three-day mega event.
According to a notice issued by the MC, an open auction will be conducted for the allotment of stalls, each measuring 10 feet by 10 feet, at the festival venue.
The stalls will be permitted to sell and display a wide range of items, including garden decor, nursery plants, interior decor items, floral decorations, decorative articles, paintings, art works, garden equipment, fountains, garden and lawn furniture, handicrafts from various states, manure, artificial flower arrangements, aquariums and books, will be displayed and sold at the stalls. However, sale of food and beverages will not be allowed at these stalls.
The open auction of these stalls will be held on February 10. To participate in the bidding process, applicants must deposit an earnest money of Rs 50,000 in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of the MC Commissioner.
The civic body has also laid down specific conditions for exhibitors to ensure environmental protection and public safety. Single-use plastic will be strictly prohibited, and exhibitors will be required to avoid the use of flex boards and banners.
Littering at the venue will not be permitted, and no damage to the surrounding area will be allowed under any circumstances. All stall holders will also be required to comply with rules, regulations and any prohibitory orders issued by the civic body for the festival.
