Chandigarh, July 14

Two people died of COVID-19 and 12 fresh cases were reported on Tuesday in Chandigarh.

The total number of cases has reached 600 of which 144 are active cases.

A 50-year-old male resident of Dhanas, who was reported as positive for COVID-19 on July 3 died in PGIMER on Tuesday. He had a history of cancer and was on chemotherapy from PGIMER.

A 52-year-old female resident of Sector 46 who was reported as positive on July 11 also died. She was a patient of severe diabetes and was in ICU for more than 15 days in Sohana Hospital before she was referred to PGIMER.
