Three rescued from kidnappers



Zirakpur: Three youths have been booked for allegedly kidnapping three Shimla natives from the Patiala road. Two of the accused have been arrested. Both have been remanded in police custody. The victims have been rescued. The trio was coming from Shimla when they were allegedly kidnapped. They had some old financial dispute with the accused. Vipul told the police that he and his friends Sahil and Ranjit Thakur came to Zirakpur to meet their friend Mukul on Friday. When they reached near the Patiala road, Gurdip, Gurpreet and Sanjiv, all from Punjab, made them stop their car. The accused attacked them with sticks. The accused took the three friends in a car to some place. They then called their families and asked them to reach near a residential society with money. The families contacted the Zirakpur police that cordoned off the area. TNS
