Two kids were crushed under the wheels of a tractor-trailer at a poultry farm near Handesera village here last evening.

The victims have been identified as Mosmi (6) and 18-month-old Kanhaiya.

The incident took place when the two children were playing at the poultry farm. The tractor-trailer driver, Totti, aka Kaka, failed to notice them and allegedly ran the vehicle over them.

The kids were rushed to a hospital in Panchkula where Mosmi succumbed to her injuries. Kanhiya was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, at night. He died this morning, said the police.

On the complaint of the victims’ families, a case was registered against Totti at the Lalru police station. He was yet to be arrested, said sources. The police said the kids belonged to families from West Bengal working at the poultry farm.
