Chandigarh Tricity on 'AIRs' after UPSC result
Panchkula’s Akansh Dhull third in India, Chandigarh’s Bhavika 25th
Akansh Dhull of Panchkula has secured All-India Rank 3 in the Civil Services Examination 2025, the results of which were announced by the Union Public Service Commission on Friday. This was his third attempt at the prestigious examination. Earlier, he had secured Rank 342 and joined the Indian Audit and Accounts Service as an audit officer. In his second attempt, he improved his rank to 290 before achieving Rank 3 this year. Akansh completed his schooling in Panchkula and graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi.
Bhavika Chopra, daughter of Puneet Chopra and a resident of Sector-4, Chandigarh, secured the 25th rank in the examination. The 27-year-old had appeared for the examination for the second time. She is currently undergoing training in Ghaziabad for the Indian Postal Service after having previously qualifying for the civil services.
Rakhi, a 32-year-old resident of Chandigarh’s Sector-49D, secured AIR 65 in her fourth and last attempt. She is a graduate of IIT Roorkee and a postgraduate from Panjab University.
Aakriti Dobhal, a resident of Sector 38 (West), Chandigarh, secured AIR 93. She completed her schooling from Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, and pursued BE in Production and Industrial Engineering from PEC, Chandigarh.
Neeraj Trar, son of Dr Dev Raj Jat, Associate Professor at Postgraduate Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh, has secured All-India Rank 180 in the examination. Neeraj is already serving as an Assistant Commissioner in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs, GST and Narcotics). He completed his schooling from GMSSS, Sector-10, and GMSSS, Sector-16 in Chandigarh before pursuing BTech from NIT Delhi.
Aman Aloon, a resident of Wave Estate in Mohali, has secured the 295th rank. UPSC Civil Services Examination. His father, CP Singh, retired in 2023 as a PGT in Geography from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, while his mother, Kalpana Rani, is a homemaker. A native of Amroha in UP, Aman cleared the examination in his third attempt. He prepared through self-study without joining any coaching institute and credited his success to the support of his parents and sister Kirti.
Another achiever from the region is Kritika Chaudhary, a 26-year-old resident of Mohali, who secured the 312th rank. Her father, Rajiv Kumar Gujar, is posted as an inspector in the Punjab Police in Mohali.
