Chandigarh, August 14

Tvesa Malik will look to consolidate her position atop the Order of Merit when she tees-off in the 11th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at the Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

With Kolkata’s Neha Tripathi and Gursimsar Badwal of Kapurthala away in the USA for the LPGA Stage-I Qualifying School, Tvesa’s main challenger this week will be Amandeep Drall.

Although Amandeep has won twice this season, the Panchkula golfer’s overall results have been somewhat of a mixed bag.

Gurugram’s Tvesa won her only title this season in the fourth leg at the Oxford Golf and Country Club, while she finished second at the sixth, seventh and ninth legs.

The limited field suffered a further setback, when Vani Kapoor complained of feeling unwell following her practice round and withdrew from the event. Gaurika Bishnoi and Smriti Mehra are also skipping the 11th leg. — TNS/PTI
