Two arrested in Sector 39 robbery case in Chandigarh

The Chandigarh Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a robbery reported in Sector 39. The case (FIR No. 21 under Sections 309(6), 311, 3(5) of the BNS) was registered on the complaint of Hauri Lal, a resident of Palsora, Chandigarh.

The complainant alleged that Jameel Mohamed and his accomplice snatched his purse containing important documents and Rs 2,000 near the road separating Sectors 55/56 close to a forest area on February 10.

During investigation, the accused, Jameel Mohamed of Sahoda village, Mohali, and Monu of Sector 56, Chandigarh, were arrested. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
