CHANDIGARH:Two bodies were found from different parts of the city on Wednesday morning.

Two bodies were found from different parts of the city on Wednesday morning. The police have ruled out foul play in both incidents. 

Sources said the police received information around 5.30 am that a body was lying near Gate No. 1 of the Police Lines in Sector 26. The police reached the spot after which the body was shifted to the mortuary of Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16.

The police said the victim had been identified as Mahesh (35), a native of Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. He worked as a rehri-puller at the Grain Market in Sector 26. 

The police have ruled out any foul play in his death. “There were no injury marks on the body,” said a police official. 

The police have initiated inquest proceedings in the matter at the Sector 26 police station. 

Another call of a body lying near the motor market in Mani Majra was received around 11 am. 

The police said an unknown person, aged around 45, was found dead. The body was shifted to a mortuary. The police said the victim seemed to be a vagabond. The police have initiated an investigation at the Mani Majra police station.
