The district police claimed to arrested two drug peddlers and seized 34 vials and 600 tablets from their possession today. The accused were identified as Karan Anand, alias Bachi, and Honey, both residents of Ropar.
The police said the duo were nabbed near Patwarkhana when they were coming from the bus stand side. Injections and tablets along with a cash of Rs 3.5 lakh were recovered during their search, said the police. On questioning, they confessed that the money was stolen from a house in Ucha Khera Mohalla in Ropar on September 17, the police added. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
