The Chandigarh Police have arrested two suspects involved in a violent robbery attempt in the Industrial Area. On December 6, a case was registered under Section 309(6) BNS) on the complaint of 21-year-old Bhim, a student at CGC, Landran, and a resident of Daria village.

Bhim reported that at around 10 am, while on his way for a haircut, he was approached by Arshdeep (27), alias Tima, who led him towards a nearby mosque where the second accused, Sukesh (24), was present.

The duo allegedly assaulted him, tried to snatch money and a mobile phone from him. When Bhim resisted, Arshdeep hit him on the head with a brick.

The assailants fled the spot after that.

The accused were remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody. Police records reveal that Arshdeep is a habitual offender and a listed bad character of the Industrial Area police station.
