Union Minister Ravneet Bittu alleges misbehaviour by Chandigarh Police, scuffle erupts at Punjab CM's residence

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has alleged that he was misbehaved with by Chandigarh Police officers outside the Punjab Chief Minister’s residence. Bittu had visited the residence to meet CM Bhagwant Mann and court arrest in protest against alleged false cases filed by the Punjab Police against his two friends in Patiala and Ludhiana.

However, Bittu claimed that he was not allowed to enter the residence by the CM’s security personnel. He then tried to enter through another gate but was stopped again.

Bittu has lodged a complaint with the UT police, alleging that he was subjected to verbal and physical abuse by the police officers. He named Deputy SP Uday Pal Singh and his team, including two assistant sub-inspectors and three constables, in his complaint.

According to Bittu, the police officers blocked his car cavalcade and got into a physical altercation with his security officials. He has demanded immediate action against the responsible officers and has offered to provide video evidence of the incident.
