Urdu, Hindi poets cast spell at mushaira

Nine poets were part of a mushaira, ‘Bazm-e-Sukhan’, organised by the Soultalk literature society, in collaboration with the Aryans Group of Colleges, at Mini Tagore Theatre here today.

Urdu and Hindi poets from various states participated in the programme, including Shariq Kaifi, Mukesh Alam, Varun Anand, Amardeep Singh, Vikas Rana, Dinesh Harman, Danish Bharti, Karanjit Singh and Musavvir Ferozpuri. Young poetry lovers cheered the poets for their couplet. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, said the purpose for organising such programmes was to promote literary activities among youngsters and connect them to the literary and cultural heritage of India. He complimented the members of the Soultalk society for organising more than 50 such programmes.

He also released an anthology of ‘ghazals’, ‘Intikhab Ghazal’, which has been compiled by the Soultalk society.
