Chandigarh schools to open from Jan 19

The UT Education Department has ordered conducting physical classes in schools from January 19, ending all restrictions imposed earlier in view of harsh winter. However, the schools have been asked to comply with prescribed timings.

The schools (single shifts) will now open from 9 am to 2.30 pm for students, and from 8.45 am to 2.45 pm for teachers of all classes. Those holding double shifts will open from 9 am to 1.45 pm for classes above VI and the timings for teachers are from 8.45 am to 2.45 pm. For classes I to V, the schools will open from 1.15 pm to 4.30 pm. The timings for teachers will be from 10.40 am to 4.40 pm. These timings will be followed till January 23.
