UTcop among 11 held for gambling, Rs4.16 lakh seized

Chandigarh, December 14

Eleven persons, including a UT Head Constable, Rajesh Kumar, have been arrested by the local police for gambling and an amount of Rs4.16 lakh has been recovered from them.

ASP (South) Shruti Arora received information that a few persons were gambling in a forest area near a gurdwara in Sector 31. Sources said the information was kept a secret and not even shared with the are apolice. The ASP constituted a team and raided the spot. — TNS
