The Chandigarh Administration on Tuesday sealed the popular Sago Club in Sector 26, a nightlife hotspot reportedly linked to rapper and singer Badshah, for alleged violations of building norms.

The action was carried out by a joint team from the Estate Office’s Building Branch and Enforcement Wing, which conducted a drive at showroom No. 17 in Sector 26, where the club operates.

Officials said inspections had revealed multiple violations related to the approved building plan and construction regulations. According to the administration, the club management was issued several notices over the past months and directed to rectify the discrepancies.

However, the violations allegedly remained unaddressed, prompting authorities to initiate sealing proceedings.

The development has once again brought Badshah's name into the spotlight, though officials have maintained that the action pertains solely to building norm violations and compliance issues.

Sources in the administration said the crackdown is part of a wider drive against commercial establishments flouting construction and safety regulations in the city. Over the past year, nearly 10 clubs and bars across Chandigarh have been sealed for similar violations.

The administration has intensified inspections of hospitality and entertainment venues, warning that strict action will continue against establishments found operating in breach of approved building plans and by-laws.

In a parallel action on Tuesday, officials also sealed showroom No. 9 in Sector 17 for alleged violations of building regulations.

Authorities said enforcement drives would continue across the city to ensure compliance with urban planning and safety norms.
