A 27-year-old woman fell to her death from the seventh floor of Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 on Saturday, officials said.

Officials said that a matriculation certificate found on the woman identified her as Anu, a resident of Kaithal. Eyewitnesses claim she jumped off the C-Block of the hospital and fell on two attendants having their lunch. One of the two had a fractured leg, officials said. They did not specify the injuries of the second attendant, but said they were “serious” in nature.

The victim was immediately taken to the emergency ward of the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. It is as yet unclear why she was at the hospital, officials said.
