Woman killed in hit-and-run on Mohali Airport Road

A woman was crushed by a brick-laden tractor-trailer on Airport Road near the Sector 82 market this morning.

According to the eyewitnesses, the woman was crossing the road when she was hit by the vehicle. The driver fled after the incident.

The police arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The identity of the deceased woman had not been established as no identification was found on her. As per the initial investigation, she may have worked at a nearby office.

The police have impounded the vehicle and launched a search for the driver.
