World Earth Day celebrated

MOHALI: Gian Jyoti Global School celebrated World Earth Day on its campus in Mohali. During a special assembly, students of Class X and XI performed a street play on ‘Save Water-Save Earth’.

Gian Jyoti Global, Mohali

Gian Jyoti Global School celebrated World Earth Day on its campus in Mohali. During a special assembly, students of Class X and XI performed a street play on ‘Save Water-Save Earth’. A rally was also organised by students of Gian Jyoti School. 

St Soldier, Mohali

St Soldier International Convent School took out a rally around the school premises to create awareness about elections among residents. Members of the NSS and NCC participated in a rally to educate people about the importance of choosing the right candidate for elections. 

Ankur School, Chandigarh

Students of Classes IX and X visited Cactus Garden in Sector 5, Panchkula. The garden is Asia’s biggest garden devoted to rare and endangered species of cactus. Students of Classes VII and  VIII enjoyed at the Dinosaur Park in Sector 49, Chandigarh. Principal Parminder Duggal said such excursions encouraged the students to explore and learn about what lies beyond the four walls of the school.

Mount View, Baltana

Mount View Public School has completed 20 years of its foundation. The management celebrated the day in a unique way. Religious preachers from four communities conducted the prayer of their respective religion. 

Mjs Ramgarhia, Chandigarh

The school conducted an orientation for parents as ‘home-school partnership’. Parents were apprised of the academic and co-curricular planning, counseling on health issues and good parenting practices were discussed. 

AKSIPS 65, Mohali

Medical and non-medical students of AKSIPS-65 visited PEC, Chandigarh, to get a glimpse of their annual open house. They got an opportunity to have a closer look at various projects prepared by budding engineers. They were taken on a guided tour of the campus and were introduced to various departments and laboratories.  

Gurukul Global, Chandigarh

Class XII students of mass media studies visited an advertising agency in Sector 21. An intereractive session was organised. They learnt about the processes involved in planning of advertisement prototypes, budget, and requirements of the clients. 

DC Montessori, Mani Majra  

A jungle party for students of Prep I and Prep II was organised by DC Montessori School. Kids brought with them green-coloured food items which they relished at Nirjhar Vatika Park, Panchkula. 

AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh

To mark the importance of World Heritage Day, students of Classes IX and X of AKSIPS 41 Smart School went for an educational field trip to the Baba Banda Singh Bahadru War Memorial in Chappar Chiri. The students were informed about the history of Sikhs defeating the Mughal forces under the leadership of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. tns
