Patiala, August 17

Raj Kanwar Singh Sandhu of Yadavindra Public School once again bought laurels to the school by winning several international and state-level medals. Raj clinched two gold medals in 25m standard pistol and 25m rapid fire junior round in the U-21 category at Junior World Cup held at Suhl, Germany. He also won a bronze medal in 25m pistol junior men event in the same championship.

In the 54th Punjab State Shooting Championship held in Jalandhar, he won six gold medals in 25m sports pistol, 25m standard pistol junior men, 25m standard pistol senior men, 25m rapid fire pistol senior men, 25m rapid fire pistol junior men and 10m air pistol youth men. He also bagged two silver medals in 10m air pistol junior men and 10m air pistol junior men team. “My school and parents have always taught me to be determined towards the goal of life. Yoga and meditation are the keys to my success,” said Raj. — TNS
