More than two months after strenuous poll canvassing, most of the candidates relaxed themselves on Monday. The Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency has been locked into a triangular contest among Congress’ Jasbir Singh Dimpa, SAD-BJP’s Bibi Jagir Kaur and Punjab Democratic Alliance’ (PDA) Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra.
Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra said she remained at her home in Amritsar to relax for the entire day. She said she would pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar, along with her NRI son Janmeet Singh Khalra.
Jasbir Singh Dimpa of the Congress didn’t respond numerous phone calls.
Bibi Jagir Kaur of the SAD-BJP said she, after reciting Gurbani verses as usual, held a meeting of party workers in Kapurthala. Bibi Jagir Kaur held a meeting here with party workers and reviewed her performance in the polling besides chalking out programme to appoint counting agents on Wednesday. She expressed hope that she would win the elections.
