3 booked for Rs7-lakh fraud

TARN TARAN: Three persons of Noorpur Rajputan (Kapurthala) village have been booked for allegedly defrauding a villager of Rs 7 lakh.

Three persons of Noorpur Rajputan (Kapurthala) village have been booked for allegedly defrauding a villager of Rs 7 lakh. The victim, Ramanpreet Singh of Jahangir village, informed the police that Kuldip Singh, his father Malook Singh and uncle Dilbag Singh assured to get him settled abroad and took the money a few years ago. He alleged that the accused neither kept their promise nor returned the money. The police said a case was registered a case and further investigation is on. — OC
