3 of family die in road mishap

Gurdaspur, December 7

Three members of a family died when the bike on which they were travelling rammed into a tractor-trolley near Babbehali village, four km from here, on Friday afternoon. The accident took place after the tractor-trolley took a sharp turn.

The deceased have been identified as Veru, his wife Pindo and their three-year-old daughter Prabhjot Kaur.

SSP Swarandeep Singh has asked a DSP-rank officer to ensure that the kin do not face any problem in getting the post-mortem conducted.

While Veru died on the spot, Pindo and her daughter were taken to the Civil Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The SSP said the police had arrested the driver of the tractor-trolley.
