AMRITSAR: A medical store owner, identified as Manpreet Singh, alias Manna, has been arrested for allegedly selling habit-forming drugs and injections.

A medical store owner, identified as Manpreet Singh, alias Manna, has been arrested for allegedly selling habit-forming drugs and injections.

A raid was conducted by the police along with a drug inspector after cops received a complaint at 181 helpline. It was alleged that the accused, who had a medical store in Dhadde village under Kathunangal police station, had been selling intoxicants to drug addicts.

The police party along with drug inspector Sukhdeep Singh found 105 intoxicating tablets and five injections from the shop. The accused could not produce any document regarding the purchase and sale of drugs. He was produced in the court and brought on police remand for further probe. — TNS
