Farmers, under the banner of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab, on Thursday protested at the Patti railways station, 25 km from here, and blocked trains for three hours. They were protesting against the government’s “high-handed” approach to stubble burning.
Farmer leader Sukhwinder Singh Sabhra condemned the state as well as the Central government for their ‘anti-farmer’ policies.
Commuters faced harassment as they kept waiting for hours at the railway station.
