AMRITSAR: The Civil Lines police claimed to have busted a gang with the arrest of its five members, which allegedly used to prepare fake documents for getting bails granted to criminals lodged in jails.

Amritsar, December 6

The Civil Lines police claimed to have busted a gang with the arrest of its five members, which allegedly used to prepare fake documents for getting bails granted to criminals lodged in jails.

The police have booked 12 persons in this connection.

The suspects, who have been arrested, have been identified as Raghubir Singh of Mehma village, Maninder Singh of Dhasmesh Avenue, Chandan Sayal of Kartar Nagar, Chheharta, Kulwinder Singh of Guru Arjun Dev Nagar and Ishan Sharma of Ghanupur Kale road. The police said the suspects were arrested from the Mother Teresa park. According to police, the suspects used to take huge money from criminals for arranging the documents.

The police recovered fake revenue records, identity cards, Aadhaar cards and stamps from their possession.

A case under Sections 419, 420, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471, 472, 473, 474 and 120-B of the IPC has been registered against the suspects. 

Those who were booked have been identified as Joran of Kale Road area; Sandeep, alias Sandy and Shikari of Chheharta; Rajesh, Gurmeet Singh, Major Singh and Bahadur Singh of Gali Samma Wali Rajasansi.
