Girl abducted in Tarn Taran

Ghacho, a resident of Khairdinke village, has been booked under Sections 363, 366 and  506 of the IPC on the charge of abducting a teenage girl of the same village. The police said the accused abducted the 15-year-old girl a week ago on the pretext of marrying her. The accused abducted the girl when her parents were not at home. The father of the girl alleged that the accused had threatened the family of dire consequences if the matter was reported to the police. — OC

Gun stolen

Tarn Taran: A double barrel gun of a resident of Darajke village, 40 km from here, has been stolen. Complainant Chaman Lal said, “The thief took away the gun but didn’t touch another revolver.” The Bhikhiwind police have registered a case. — OC
