AMRITSAR: Khalsa College hockey player Reet has arrived along with the Indian hockey team back home after registering various achievements, including the emphatic performance in the recently concluded Youth Olympics held at Netherlands.

Khalsa College hockey player Reet has arrived along with the Indian hockey team back home after registering various achievements, including the emphatic performance in the recently concluded Youth Olympics held at Netherlands. The team reached Delhi on Monday to a grand welcome amid beating of drums and loud cheers.

The team members along with a large contingent of officials met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs apart from Secretary, Joint Secretary and other senior officials. The team has finished runners-up of the tournament. Reet was given a special mention for her outstanding performance and was awarded a silver medal by PM Narender Modi. Reet is a midfielder who not only controlled the game and helped others score goals but also scored five goals herself at the Youth Olympics 2018.
