Khalsa College Senior Secondary School celebrated its 125th Establishment Day here on Monday. A religious gathering was organised in the school which was attended by students, teachers, former students and members of the management of Khalsa College Governing Council.
KCGC secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina congratulated Principal Inderjit Singh Gogoani and staff on the completion of 125 years of the school. The institution was established on October 22, 1893 as the first educational institution of management and later the historic Khalsa College was set up in the iconic heritage building. He acclaimed the school’s 125-year futuristic history and said that apart from the academic sector, renowned sportsmen, academics have been lighting up the organisation in the country and abroad. Kirtan was performed by Ragi Bhai Maninder Singh Srinagarwale highlighting the philosophy and directives of the gurus. Shabad Kirtan was performed by students as well. College alumni were honoured on the occasion. Principal Gogowani asked the sangat to follow righteous path shown by the gurus. He also gave an account of the times and teachings of the Guru. — TNS
