AMRITSAR: The property tax wing of the MC sealed eight commercial properties in the city here on Thursday. Officials recovered Rs 3.50 lakh from defaulters.



Amritsar: The property tax wing of the MC sealed eight commercial properties in the city here on Thursday. Officials recovered Rs 3.50 lakh from defaulters. MC staff sealed a beauty saloon near Khalsa College. The MC has been sealing the properties in routine for the recovery of taxes. The civic body has a number of properties in the city which has been rented out but some of the tenants haven’t been paying the rent. So the sealing process is being undertaken to pressurise the traders into paying the rent for revenue generation. TNS

Amritsar: Kiran Kesar, a teacher at Little Flower Convent School, Dhariwal, has got selected as a finalist in a beauty pageant and has been invited to Europe for the grand finale. Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide beauty contest’s audition were held at a hotel in Chandigarh January 5. Contestants were adjudged on the basis of various aspects, such as physical fitness, health, beauty and thought process. TNS
