TARN TARAN: On a call of one-day pen-down strike given by the Sanjha Mulazam Manch Punjab and UT Chandigarh, employees of various departments abstained from their official work on Monday.

On a call of one-day pen-down strike given by the Sanjha Mulazam Manch Punjab and UT Chandigarh, employees of various departments abstained from their official work on Monday.

Employees of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, SDM, tehsildar, besides those of the Education, Health, Irrigation, Excise and Taxation, Roadways, Finance, etc organised a protest at the local District Administrative Complex.

The protesters demanded release of dearness allowance (DA) installments and arrears, regularisation of contractual employees and end to outsourcing.
