Plastic Surgery Day observed

An event to observe National Plastic Surgery Day was organised at Amandeep Hospital here on Saturday. Chief plastic and cosmetic surgeon Dr Ravi Mahajan said free consultation would be provided to plastic and cosmetic surgery patients and concessional surgeries would be offered to registered patients. He added that there was a common myth that plastic surgery was just used for beautification, whereas it was just a part of plastic surgery. “There are so many other aspects of plastic surgery. Nowadays, plastic surgery is playing a major role in improvement of quality life of patients. It is playing a vital role in treating badly crushed body parts in accident, by-birth deformity treatment and in increasing the self confidence of patients,” he said. — TNS
