Post office honoured

AMRITSAR: The General Post Office, Amritsar, was given Aadhaar excellence award for the best performing post office in the Punjab west postal region at a ceremony in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The General Post Office, Amritsar, was given Aadhaar excellence award for the best performing post office in the Punjab west postal region at a ceremony in New Delhi on Wednesday. The post office received the honour at an Aadhaar workshop. Notably, the Aadhaar service was started at local head post office in December last year. The service is being offered at around 40 post offices under the division. The prize was received by deputy post master Deepak Sharma.

Makhan Singh, Senior Superintendent, Amritsar division, said, “It is a matter of pride for us.”
