Perturbed over “harassment” at the hands of her in-laws, a woman threatened to end her life in a video message that went viral in no time. She alleged that despite repeated complaints, the police had failed to take action.
As the message went viral, the police immediately swung into action and approached Rani, a resident of Dadu Jalla village in Sultanwind.
Investigating officer said the woman was sent to her parents’ home and investigation had been launched. In the video message, the victim alleged that her husband had been living with another woman. According to her, he ‘extorted’ huge money from her while her in-laws also harassed her for dowry. She said she had two children from the marriage. She alleged she had repeatedly complained to police in this regard but nothing was done.
