RCF, NHA enter hockey cup semifinals

AMRITSAR: Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, Khalsa Hockey Academy, National Academy (MP) and NHA on Friday entered the semi-finals of the All-India Guru Nanak Dev Hockey Gold Cup-2019 being hosted by Khalsa Hockey Academy here.

Amritsar, february 22

Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, Khalsa Hockey Academy, National Academy (MP) and NHA on Friday entered the semi-finals of the All-India Guru Nanak Dev Hockey Gold Cup-2019 being hosted by Khalsa Hockey Academy here.

In the first match, NCR team defeated Steel Plant with a margin of 3-2, while in the second match, Haryana-XI and National Hockey Academy tied 3-3. In the fourth match RCF Kapurthala defeated Khalsa Hockey 6-2.

Lalrin Diki of the RCF was declared as player of the match for her performance and bringing the team to the dominating position.

The Gold Cup is being organised by the Khalsa Academy under Khalsa College Charitable Society at the historic college campus.

Top eight hockey teams across the country are participating in the tourney, said sports director Kanwaljit Singh.
