Soni honours 129 principals

AMRITSAR: School Education Minister Om Parkash Soni on Friday honoured 129 principals in the district for recording more than 95 per cent results in the PSEB Class X and XII board exams.

School Education Minister Om Parkash Soni on Friday honoured 129 principals in the district for recording more than 95 per cent results in the PSEB Class X and XII board exams. A total of 328 principals were honoured by the minister.

The statistics of the PSEB results of the Classes X and XII show that government school students have fared far better than the private schools .

The minister expressed his happiness over the improvement in the board exam results in the district compared to the last year.

Soni thanked principals for giving concrete shape to his dreams. He said, “ Last year I was worried over the poor performance of Class X and XII students. This year I took it as a challenge and assured the Chief Minister of excellent results.”

He said, “I thank all principals from the core of my heart for showing excellent results”. District Education Officer(DEO) Salwinder Singh Samra expressed his gratitude towards Soni for showering all of them with accolades and laurels and gave reassurance to work even harder in the coming years.
