Student booked for ‘harassing’ classmate

AMRITSAR: A student of Class XI was booked for allegedly teasing his female classmate here on Monday. The accused is also said to have slapped the girl in the classroom at Bhai Gurdas Senior Secondary, Basarke Gillan village.

A student of Class XI was booked for allegedly teasing his female classmate here on Monday. The accused is also said to have slapped the girl in the classroom at Bhai Gurdas Senior Secondary, Basarke Gillan village.

The girl’s father complained to the Gharinda police that the accused used to stalk her daughter en route school. He often made indecent comments, he alleged.

On August 8, when her daughter was in her classroom, the accused slapped her and touched her inappropriately, the complaint reads.

The Gharinda police have registered a case under Sections 354, 354-A and 354-D against the accused. No arrest has been made so far.
