BATHINDA: Eight persons were booked for threatening a person, who motivated people to shun drugs, with dire consequences at Salbrah village in the district.

Eight persons were booked for threatening a person, who motivated people to shun drugs, with dire consequences at Salbrah village in the district.

In a complaint lodged by Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Salebrah, he stated that accused Sukhmander Singh, Baru Singh, Sunny, Happy, Vicky, Deepi, Satnam Singh and Khan surrounded him and threatened him of dire consequences by showing him a revolver over the issue. He, along with associates, asked people to shun drugs.

A case under Sections 341, 506, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act has been registered against the accused at the Phul police station.
