Biker hit by stray cattle, injured

BATHINDA: A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a stray cattle hit him on the Mansa road near Katar Singh Wala village. A horn of the stray cattle hit the chest of the victim who was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital, where doctors referred him to another hospital sensing his condition critical.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a stray cattle hit him on the Mansa road near Katar Singh Wala village.

A horn of the stray cattle hit the chest of the victim who was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital, where doctors referred him to another hospital sensing his condition critical.

The injured has been identified as Vijay Kumar (50), a resident of Ballaram Nagar. Vijay was returning after selling cosmetic products in villages.

It is pertinent to mention that residents are a harried lot owing to the ubiquitous presence of stray cattle, there have been a rise in the number of road accidents.

They say incidents of road mishaps are often reported but the civic body has failed to come up with a solution. Stray animals can be seen roaming in and around the city, mostly on the roads, much to the chagrin of commuters.
