Candle march for arrest of Himanshu Dania’s killers

Demanding the arrest of killers of Himanshu Dania, who was shot dead in Barnala city on the intervening night of July 5 and 6, members of the Himanshu Dania struggle committee announced that they would organise a candle march in the city on July 15 evening.

Committee members, including Sukhwinder Singh, Tarsem Singh, Raghuvir Singh and Naib Singh, said to demand the arrest of killers, they would organise a candle march.

Deceased Himanshu Dania, who was running a liquor vend near the bus stand in partnership with other local residents, was going to deposit the cash in his office along with Sanjeev Kumar on a motorcycle.

Dania was driving the bike and when they reached near the Shani Dev temple street near the bus stand, a bullet hit Dania in the head and he lost control of the motorcycle and both fell on the road. Two assailants, who were also on a motorcycle, snatched a bag from his friend Sanjeev, who was sitting pillion, and fled. — TNS
