A Wagon-R car caught fire on the Bathinda-Mansa overbridge here on Saturday. Two persons had a narrow escape as they immediately came out of the car. Firefighters doused the fire.
No causality was reported, but the car was damaged.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained and the police reached the spot and started probing the incident.
According to information, Riya, a resident of Basant Vihar, along with his son Gaurav, was going towards the Mansa side in the car on Saturday morning. When they reached near the ITI chowk, the car caught fire.
Gaurav, who was driving, immediately stopped the car and came out of it with her mother. Thereafter, he called firefighters and informed the police.
