Faridkot, July 12
After personal items and the bike of a ‘mysteriously’ missing young couple were found on the bank of Rajasthan Feeder canal on Thursday, the police have started investigation from different angles.
While the family members of the couple are trying to search the canal with the help of divers, the police are making preliminary investigation before reaching a conclusion about the suspicious disappearance of the couple.
Police sources revealed that Anand Jain, running an immigration agency, and his seven-month pregnant wife had left their home on Wednesday evening and no one had heard from them for the past 24 hours.
They got married about one-and-a-half year ago and it was a love marriage. Jagandeep Kaur, additional SHO Faridkot, said the police received a complaint from the family members and investigation was under way. — TNS
